Due to COVID-19 we have fewer programs.

Physical activity and sports training are important throughout life. Through sports, young people learn to bend but not break and learn to push through challenges. Agility is one trait of a successful athlete as well as a successful leader. YNTO seeks to develop traits such as activeness, flexibility, agility, and strength.

Basketball training for Highschool students with Coach Kendall Ham, a PCHS alumni and Pro Basketball trainer joining us. We are excited to have Coach Kendall here in Pamlico County after his time in France as the head trainer for the Frenchy USA Tour. The other coaches will be Taquan Jones and Damon Roberts.

Coming this Spring
Step Dance for middle school and highschool students with Courtney Miller and Lakeesha Smith. We will build up our strength and practice team dances.

The arts are important to a well rounded youth experience, and engagement with the arts brings joy to our lives. This is one avenue YNTO uses to develop talents, emotional intelligence, and contributes to self discipline and creative thinking.

Coming this Spring
Sketching/Painting  for middle school and high school students with Colleen Diane. The students will learn the basics of preparing a canvas and bringing their own creativity to their work.

YNTO is committed to meeting the needs of the community. Sometimes that takes the form of a school supply drive, a water drive, trunk or treat Halloween fun or dancing and lunch to celebrate Juneteenth. We believe that a community that puts youth first is a community with a strong future.

Reusable water bottles for every student at the Pamlico County Primary School. Due to COVID-19 precautions the schools need water bottles. We stepped up to supply them.
